2019 Miss Nation Ford Scholarship Pageant

For this project, I was asked by Student Council to design a poster for the 2019 Miss Nation Ford Scholarship Pageant. The attendees of this pageant were to be students and faculty of Nation Ford High School. This was the first time a new poster was to be designed for the anuual pageant in a few years, so it was key to create a great poster. This year, the pageant benefitted the Ronald McDonald House.

I struggled finding a good design and layout of the pageant poster. I went through multiple sketches to come up with ideas.

This is my refined sketch for the pageant. I still was not very sure what I wanted my design to look like; I hoped that as I worked on the digital copy the style would become more clear.

This is my final design of the 2019 Miss Nation Ford Scholarship Pageant. It is easy to see that I changed a lot of the design when looking at my refined sketch. I decided to go with a simpler background so it would not draw away from the main piece of the poster.
